Atiku is not a new comer in this contest as he had contested over five time, thiz will make it the sixth time.

Pointing at the fact that he contested Adamawa state governorship seat for times before winning.

He contested in Social Democratic Party presidential primaries and lost to Moshood Abiola and Baba Gana Kingibe in 1993

In 2007 he contested under the platform of Action Congress, he lost to Umaru Musa Yar’Adua of PDP.

Atiku went ahead in 2011 to contedt the presidential elections with the former president Goodluck Jonathan and lost.

He joined the All Progressives Congress, APC in 2014 and participated in the presidential elections where he loosed to Buhari at the primaries.

Atiku returned to the People’s Democratic Party in 2017, he then cantested in the general elections in 2019 where he lost to President Muhammadu Buhari who contested under the platform of the APC.

One will say Atiku is toying the part of President Muhammadu Buhari who failed 3 times before winning in the general elections to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

What is left for us to see is if Atiku Abubakar will eventually emerge the winner of the presidential election come 2023.

This will however be a difficult nut to crack given he is going to be contesting as opposition to a formidable party, APC.
